DescriptionThe whole story▼

For many young riders, a Suzuki GSX-R 600 is the first real sports bike, and it often has to double as daily transport to college or work, in all weathers. AGPA106 in the Sintered (ST) mixture is Accossato's front pad for the GSX-R 600 from 2011 to 2025. It suits riders who use the supersport six hundred every day, including through autumn and winter, and want a front brake with a steady, predictable feel on cold and wet tarmac.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Suzuki GSX-R 600, 2011 to 2025
  • Sintered compound, SKU AGPA106ST
  • High grip that stays constant from cold to hot, per Accossato
  • Grips well in the rain
  • For daily use of a supersport bike
  • Rear pad listed: AGPP39
  • Two front calipers, one box each
  • No German approval on file; track use

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, the Sintered compound keeps grip high and steady at low and high temperatures and works well in wet weather. For a sports bike used as a daily ride, where the brakes are rarely hot and the roads are often damp, that is a sensible match. The maker also mentions slow wear.

A Supersport Bike as Daily Transport

Using a GSX-R 600 every day means cold starts, short trips, rain showers and traffic. The riding position puts weight on the wrists, and the front brake is strong, so a cold tyre on a wet morning needs a careful hand. A sintered pad offers a clear, consistent response from the first stop, which helps a newer rider build good habits: squeeze progressively, let the fork compress, then add pressure. Keep a safe distance in traffic so there is room to brake smoothly rather than suddenly.

Rinse the calipers after wet or salty rides, check pad thickness regularly and replace the brake fluid at the recommended interval. A student budget is tight, but brakes are the last place to save money.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA106 for the GSX-R 600 from 2011 to 2025. The GSX-R 600 has two front calipers, so two boxes are needed for a full front change. The rear pad is AGPP39. On the same front plate, EV1, EV2 and ZXC are available for track use.

Road Approval

AGPA106ST is supplied without an ABE or German test certificate in our hands. It is sold for racing and track use.

Scope of Delivery

Two Sintered pads for one front caliper of the GSX-R 600.
