DescriptionThe whole story▼

The SWM RS 300 R is at home on enduro routes, where it is likely to encounter mud, sand, rocks, river crossings and long days with dirty brakes. For riders who use it this way, Accossato offers front pad AGPA29 in Off-road sintered, its compound for off-road riders, listed for the RS 300 R from 2015 to 2020. It is the natural choice for an Italian enduro that spends its weekends on trails and in the woods rather than on tarmac.

Key Features

  • AGPA29 front pads for SWM RS 300 R, 2015 to 2020
  • STMX mixture, SKU AGPA29STMX
  • Accossato's compound for off-road riders
  • Designed for mud, sand, dust and water
  • For enduro routes and trail days
  • Also made as OR, ST and EV1

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes STMX as its compound for off-road riding. On an enduro bike such as the RS 300 R, the front brake is constantly exposed to mud, grit and water, and this pad is designed for exactly those conditions. The Italian company, which won an Enduro World Championship title in 1985, also aims for long wear, limited fading and a strong stopping effect across its range.

Enduro Day in the Woods

On a steep, rooty descent, the front brake of the RS 300 R needs to be controlled with one or two fingers. A pad that responds predictably when covered in mud allows the rider to slow the bike without locking the front wheel.

Riding through a stream wets the disc and coats it with fine grit. Apply the brakes gently for a few metres after the crossing to clean the surface before the next descent.

Cleaning After the Ride

Wash the front caliper thoroughly after every enduro ride, remove any stones or sand from around the pads and check that they slide freely. Look at the disc for scoring, as sand can wear it quickly. Dried mud around the pistons can cause the pads to drag.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA29 for the front of the SWM RS 300 R from 2015 to 2020. The RS 300 R has one front caliper on a single disc, so one box is sufficient. Accossato's listed rear pad for this bike is AGPP80. Clean the pistons carefully before pushing them back, as grit can damage the seals.

Road Approval

We do not hold an ABE or German approval certificate for AGPA29STMX, so it is sold for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
