DescriptionThe whole story▼

Hard enduro is about rocks, roots, river beds and climbs where the bike is pushed as often as ridden. The Suzuki RMX 450 Z, built from 2010 to 2018, is often taken into this kind of terrain. For it Accossato offers the AGPA51 front pad in its Off-road sintered compound, SKU AGPA51STMX. It is the mixture for riders who cross rivers, ride through deep mud and descend rocky slopes, where the front brake is soaked and full of grit within minutes.

Key Features

  • AGPA51 front pad for the Suzuki RMX 450 Z, 2010 to 2018
  • STMX compound, SKU AGPA51STMX
  • Accossato's compound for off-road riders
  • For river crossings, mud and rocky descents
  • Suited to hard enduro and extreme loops
  • Built for gritty, wet conditions
  • OR, ST and EV1 are the other compounds
  • No ABE on file; sold for track use

Construction and Material Quality

There is no long marketing story behind STMX: Accossato simply names it as the pad recipe intended for those who ride off-road. That tells you where it belongs, namely in a caliper that is dunked in streams and caked with clay between one checkpoint and the next. Keeping wear slow and heat under control are aims the Italian brand sets for all of its pads, and a day of hard enduro on a big single asks a lot of both.

Rivers, Rocks and Mud

A river crossing cools the brake suddenly and fills the caliper with sand. A steep, rocky descent afterwards needs a precise front brake. In a deep mud section, the whole wheel is covered in clay. STMX is designed for this kind of environment, where a road compound would be out of its depth.

Riders who use their RMX 450 Z for hard enduro or long off-road rides through difficult terrain will find this the most appropriate front pad.

Cleaning Up

After a hard enduro, wash the caliper carefully and check the pads and disc. Stones can bend or score the disc, so inspect it closely. Keep the pressure washer away from the seals and the master cylinder. Carry a spare set in your backpack on long routes, because a worn pad far from the van is no fun.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA51 for the front of the RMX 450 Z from 2010 to 2018. The rear of the RMX 450 Z takes AGPP106. One box fits the front caliper.

Road Approval

No ABE or German approval document for AGPA51STMX is available to us, so it is offered for off-road competition.
