DescriptionThe whole story▼

Between sessions at a track day, a Panigale 1199 spends its time on paddock stands under tyre warmers, surrounded by toolboxes, fuel cans and people walking past. It is the most relaxed part of the day, and also a moment when bikes get knocked over. Accossato's LV015 is a folding clutch lever for the Panigale 1199 of 2012 to 2015. It sits on the original hydraulic clutch master cylinder, has adjustable reach, and its blade can fold on a hinge.

Key Features

  • Folding clutch lever for the Panigale 1199, 2012 to 2015
  • Mounts on the original hydraulic clutch master cylinder
  • Hinged blade that can fold under impact
  • Distance to the grip adjustable
  • Black anodised base, blade in eight colours
  • Blade available with RST cut-out or solid
  • Aluminium, machined on CNC equipment

Construction and Material Quality

There are two parts to the LV015. The black anodised base stays at the pivot of the clutch master cylinder and carries the adjuster that sets the reach. The blade is joined to the base by a hinge and anodised in the colour you order, with eight to choose from. Both are machined from aluminium on CNC equipment. With the RST option the blade gets a lightening cut-out; the NRST blade stays closed.

Between Sessions in the Paddock

Lifting a Panigale 1199 onto a rear paddock stand on your own takes a knack. One hand on the stand, one on the tail, and a moment when the bike's balance is entirely in your hands. If the stand is not seated properly, or the front wheel turns, the bike can fall away from you, and on the left side it lands on the clutch lever.

Then there are the neighbours: someone pushing a bike past yours, a tyre warmer cable that trips a visitor, a gust of wind catching a gazebo. The LV015 cannot prevent any of that, but its blade can fold if it is hit, which may be the difference between going out for the next session and hunting for a spare. Use the time between sessions to check the clutch lever's reach as well, because fatigue and warm gloves change how it feels as the day goes on. On a Panigale 1199 used this way, the lever gets a lot of small knocks and a lot of use.

Fitment and Compatibility

The LV015 goes onto the Panigale 1199 of 2012 to 2015 in place of the original clutch lever, with the US and Brazilian versions part of Accossato's entry. For the right-hand side, the LV013 and the remote-adjustable RA002 are listed over the same years.

Road Approval

For track use: a German ABE is not documented for the LV015.
