DescriptionThe whole story▼
Seventy-eight euro of titanium sheet, sitting between two racing silencers and the underside of the tail unit. On a V4 with the exhaust under the seat, that is not a decorative part.
Key Features
- Titanium heat shield for the tail section.
- Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S and Streetfighter V4, 2025-2026.
- For use with Spark's underseat silencers.
- Titanium — light, and stable at exhaust temperatures.
- Racing part, no homologation of its own.
What It Protects
Spark's GDU8854T system puts two Dyno silencers directly under the tail. The heat that comes off them has nowhere to go but up, into the seat unit and whatever is bolted to it.
Ducati builds its own shielding around the standard exhaust. Once that exhaust is replaced by a racing system with different volumes in different places, the standard shield is no longer the right shape — and this article is the piece that puts protection back where it is needed.
Why Titanium
A heat shield has to reflect, stay dimensionally stable at temperature and weigh as little as possible, because it hangs at the very back of the motorcycle. Titanium does all three.
Steel would work and cost less, but it would also be heavier at the worst possible place on the bike — which is the whole reason the exhaust ahead of it was made of titanium in the first place.
Ordering It
The shield is a separate article rather than part of the system, which means it is easy to forget. If the plan is a Spark racing exhaust under the seat of a 2025 V4, put this in the same basket.
Seventy-eight euro is also less than the cost of finding out the hard way what sustained exhaust heat does to a tail unit and its wiring.
Fitment & Compatibility
Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S and Streetfighter V4, 2025 to 2026, in combination with Spark's underseat silencers. The complete racing system is GDU8854T; its titanium connectors are SGDU8854*01 and SGDU8854*02. The three-quarter kit is GDU8856T.
Road Approval
Not applicable on its own. It is a thermal protection part; the road status of the motorcycle is decided by the exhaust fitted to it, and the Spark racing systems are not approved.
