Where It Sits
04761-04 is the 43 mm, 550 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. Axle clamps and lower legs are machined to hold the axle without distorting the fork.
