DescriptionThe whole story▼
Built from the same materials philosophy that underpins Carbonin's race fairings, the Basic Seat for the BMW S1000RR K67 pairs a rigid Avio-Fiber base plate with a shaped foam top to deliver a seat that is genuinely engineered rather than simply assembled. Two foam thickness options — 10 mm (FM410B) and 20 mm (FM412B) — let you dial in the precise riding position your K67 demands, whether that is track-day commitment or spirited road work.
Key Features
- Avio-Fiber base plate provides exceptional rigidity and long-term dimensional stability without unnecessary mass.
- Foam top layer is profiled for rider support during extended sessions or sustained race conditions.
- Available in two padding thicknesses — 10 mm (FM410B) and 20 mm (FM412B) — to suit different riding positions and rider proportions.
- Engineered specifically for Carbonin race fairings on the BMW S1000RR K67, ensuring seamless fitment and flush integration.
- Lightweight construction characteristic of Avio-Fiber composite keeps unsprung and carried weight to a minimum.
Construction & Materials
The base plate is formed from Avio-Fiber, an aerospace-influenced composite material recognised for its high stiffness-to-weight ratio and resistance to flex under load. Unlike a conventional plastic undertray, the Avio-Fiber shell does not deform under the sustained pressure of hard braking or aggressive cornering stances, which means the foam top layer retains its intended profile throughout the life of the seat. The foam itself is selected for durability as much as comfort — it resists compression set so the cushioning performance remains consistent lap after lap.
Design Integration
Carbonin designed this seat as a factory-matched companion to their race fairing systems for the K67 generation S1000RR. The mounting geometry, seat unit profile and surface line all correspond directly to Carbonin's own tail sections, eliminating the gaps, proud edges and fitment compromises that arise when mixing components from different manufacturers. The result is a cohesive, purposeful appearance that reflects the quality of the fairing itself.
Fitment & Compatibility
This seat is designed exclusively for the following application:
- BMW S1000RR K67 — model years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022
- Intended for use with Carbonin race fairings for the K67 platform
