The rear brake reservoir on a standard ZX-10R is a translucent plastic bottle on a pressed bracket. It does the job, it discolours within two seasons, and it is one of the few remaining places on the bike where the parts-bin origin shows. VS10P replaces it with a 10 ml machined aluminium reservoir: black anodised lid, coloured body, proper hardware.

Why Brake Fluid Destroys the Original
DOT 4 is hygroscopic and aggressive. Over a couple of years the standard reservoir clouds until the level can no longer be read at a glance, which matters because the rear circuit is the one people forget to bleed. An aluminium body does not cloud and does not go brittle in the heat coming off the exhaust — and on a ZX-10R the rear reservoir sits close to a lot of heat.
A Universal Part, Fitted Properly
Bonamici builds this reservoir to suit most sports and track machines rather than to one model, and it mounts on its own bracket. That is normal for a fluid reservoir and it means installation is a matter of choosing a sensible location and routing the hose cleanly, rather than following a model-specific instruction sheet. Allow time for a proper bleed afterwards.

Road Approval
No ABE or EC type-approval is published. A brake fluid reservoir is part of the braking system, so in Germany a registered machine should be presented to an inspector if you are in any doubt, and the system must be bled correctly before the bike is ridden.
