DescriptionThe whole story▼

Small-capacity racing is a lively scene, and the 300 cc Kawasaki twin appears in several club and supersport-300 classes. For a Kawasaki Versys-X 300 prepared for timed sessions or races, Accossato offers the AGPA72 front pad in the EV2 racing compound, listed for 2017 to 2021. It is aimed at riders who spend their weekends in a paddock, chase tenths in qualifying and need a front brake that delivers the same response at the end of a race as at the start.

Key Features

  • AGPA72 front pads for the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, 2017 to 2021
  • EV2 racing compound, article AGPA72EV2
  • Accossato's top-tier racing mixture
  • Made for maximum-effort stops lap after lap
  • Suits qualifying and full race distance
  • Also produced on this plate as OR, ST and EV1
  • No German approval on file; circuit only

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato calls EV2 a top racing compound, the choice for riders who use the brake at the limit on every lap. The maker also says that its pads keep heat under control to limit fade, that they are durable and that they stop very firmly. On a race weekend those are the qualities that decide whether the front end stays trustworthy. The EV2 layer uses the AGPA72 backing plate.

Small Bike, Serious Weekend

In light-bike classes the field is close and the gaps are made on corner entry. Riders brake as late as they dare, keep the lever loaded into the turn and then roll the speed through. A Versys-X 300 raced in that environment needs a front pad that stays predictable from warm-up to the final lap, and EV2 is meant for exactly that.

In the paddock, check pad depth and disc condition between sessions, top up or bleed the fluid when the lever travel changes, and clean the pistons before pressing them back during a pad swap. Wipe the disc before going out.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's catalogue lists AGPA72 for the front of the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 from 2017 to 2021; our garage also shows the Adventure and Urban packs. AGPA77 is the rear pad for 2017 to 2023, and the DK271 disc is offered as well. One front caliper means one box.

Road Approval

AGPA72EV2 carries no ABE or approval certificate in our records and is sold for competition.
