Öhlins publishes sag targets, and those are the reference for choosing a rate.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 25628-01

Original Öhlins service part

Function

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Progressive springs change rate through the stroke and suit short-travel machines. Free length and inner diameter decide fit; the rate decides behaviour. Free length and inner diameter decide fit; the rate decides behaviour.

Genuine Service Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 25628-01 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring individually. A settled spring lowers the machine and steepens the steering without anyone changing a setting.

Fitting and Setup Service

A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 25628-01

Category: Springs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/25628-01_b3cde887-dda0-4ca8-822f-f88ac9459757.png?v=1788878524
