Measure the old part against them before ordering. Öhlins measures each spring after setting rather than relying on the winding specification. A spring that has settled in service sits shorter than new and quietly lowers the ride height. Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring, so the rate on the label is the rate fitted.

Genuine Service Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

02472-01 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins states dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 143.2 mm, dimension c 24.5 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins publishes sag targets, and those are the reference for choosing a rate. Öhlins winds, heat-sets and measures each spring individually.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02472-01

Category: Springs

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 143.2 mm

Dimension C: 24.5 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02472-01_561b7481-a4b5-4e86-9f4e-d8d149ef47cd.png?v=1788874345
