Housing threads carry the adjusters and are the part that suffers if the adjuster is forced. Öhlins machines housings from solid billet rather than casting them. Adaptor pieces let one damper body serve several mounting geometries.

Original Öhlins Part

The part is identical to what Öhlins fits in production — same supplier, same specification. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

Identifying the Right Part

21628-16 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. Fender brackets carry the mudguard on machines where the fork leg has no mounting of its own. Adaptor pieces let one damper body serve several mounting geometries.

For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21628-16

Category: Fender Brackets

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21628-16_269ee6d2-e174-4b80-996e-a564832e65d7.png?v=1788879724
