DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of CRF150F brake levers are bent before the bike has turned a wheel. Honda's small trail bike travels to most of its riding days in the back of a van or on a trailer, and the journey is harder on the controls than many owners think. A tie-down strap pulling across the lever, a sudden stop that lets the bike lean against the side panel, a loose toolbox sliding into the handlebar: any of these can do it. For the CRF150F of 2003 to 2017, the AGD93 from Accossato is a silver replacement brake lever in original form.

- Accossato developed it as a spare with good value for money
- Better resistance after damage or a fall, according to Accossato, thanks to its production process
- One lever in the pack

Construction and Material Quality
Behind the AGD93 stands a plain idea: a spare shaped like the original, at a cost that makes it sensible to keep one in the van. Accossato designed it for value for money and states that the way it is manufactured gives it more resistance after damage or a crash. It comes in silver. The manufacturer does not publish a material, measurements or other technical data for this lever, and nothing of the kind is claimed here.
Strapping It Down Without Bending It
The safest way to transport a trail bike is with the straps doing all the work and the levers doing none. Use a wheel chock or a front-wheel stop so the bike stands upright by itself, then put soft loops around the bars close to the clamps or around the lower triple clamp, and hook the straps to those loops rather than directly to the handlebar. Route each strap so it runs clear of the brake lever, the clutch lever and the throttle, and tighten until the fork compresses a little, not all the way. Before you set off, push the bike sideways by hand; it should move with the van, not rock on its tyres. Keep loose items tied down or in a crate, because a toolbox that slides forward under braking will find the nearest lever. When you unload the CRF150F, look at both levers before the first ride. A lever that has taken a knock in transit is no different from one bent in a fall: replace it, grease the pivot, and test the brake before riding.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGD93 for the CRF150F from 2003 to 2017, and the same years apply to the other two replacement brake levers it names for this bike, the AGD275 and the AGD278. Choosing between them therefore comes down to comparing the product photos with the lever on your bike. Accossato lists the AGD93 for a number of Honda models, and at Inter-Pace it also appears under the CRF230F, the CRF250L and the CRF450R. The original-type clutch lever for the CRF150F is the AGS196, and Accossato's CNC levers B8206 and C7103 offer a tuning alternative.
Road Approval
We hold neither a German ABE nor a test mark for the AGD93, since there are no approval documents for it. It is listed for racing and competition use.
