DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Accossato PK027 radial brake master cylinder combines a 16 mm piston, sized for single-disc front brakes, with a fixed 18 mm lever pivot distance and an integrated fluid reservoir. Accossato rates the 18 mm pivot for track use and also recommends it for everyday street riding, and the long folding lever with relieving eyelet is offered in seven colours. In our fitment data this part number is confirmed specifically against the Royal Enfield range.
Key Features
- 16 mm piston diameter, suitable for single-disc braking systems
- Fixed 18 mm lever pivot distance, for track use and also recommended for street use
- Integrated fluid reservoir with a colour-matched cover, adjusting knob and oil level marker
- Folding lever, long version, with relieving eyelet (RST), seven colours available
- Forged aluminium body with a CNC-worked cover and lever
- Offset riser that reduces bending of the master cylinder while braking
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
- Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
This master cylinder shares its forged aluminium body and CNC-worked cover and lever with the rest of the integrated-reservoir brake range, so the reservoir cover, adjusting knob and oil level marker are finished in the same colour as the lever. Stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals make up the remaining hardware. An offset riser limits flex in the unit under braking, and the passive lever stroke, the gap before the pads actually bite, is cut by more than half compared with a standard radial master cylinder.
A Single-Disc Piston Sized for the Royal Enfield Range
The 16 mm piston on this master cylinder is the diameter Accossato specifies for single-disc front brakes, which covers the whole Royal Enfield line this part number is confirmed against, from the retro-styled Classic and Meteor models through to the Continental GT and Super Meteor 650. Paired with the 18 mm pivot distance, rated for track use and recommended for the road as well, the unit gives a lever feel with a touch more bite than the softer 16 mm pivot fitted to some sibling codes, without needing the dual-disc piston size used on larger sport machines. Riders upgrading a Royal Enfield's stock front brake get a direct swap onto a single-disc system rather than a part designed around twin callipers.
Fitment and Compatibility
This master cylinder is listed against 10 motorcycles in our fitment data, all from Royal Enfield, including the Classic 350 (2022-2025), Continental GT 650 (2019-2025), Interceptor 650 (2019-2025), Meteor 350 (2021-2025) and Super Meteor 650 (2023-2025). Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
