DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of adults come to motocross later in life on a second-hand Kawasaki KX250F, and they spend their weekends at the local track learning the basics rather than chasing lap records. For them Accossato offers the AGPA51 front pad in its Organic mixture. It fits the KX250F from 2004 to 2022 and suits newcomers and hobby riders who want a front brake with a soft, forgiving bite and a pad that treats the disc gently.
Key Features
- Front pads AGPA51 for the Kawasaki KX250F, 2004 to 2022
- Organic mixture, SKU AGPA51OR
- Per Accossato, long performance and limited disc wear
- Forgiving bite for newcomers to motocross
- Good match for relaxed track days
- Rear pad: AGPP106
- Plate also produced as ST, STMX and EV1
- No ABE held by us; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's Organic mixture is presented as durable and kind to the disc. For a hobby rider on a used KX250F, both points save money: the pads last and the disc, which may already have some wear, is spared. The company also claims that its pads keep heat under control to reduce fading and still deliver a firm stop. The compound is mounted on the AGPA51 plate for the front caliper.
Late Starters at the Local Track
Grown-up beginners on a KX250F often have one worry above others: grabbing the front brake in a rutted turn and going down. A front pad with a soft first bite that builds force in proportion to lever pressure makes that less likely and helps the rider learn to brake smoothly on loose dirt.
Buying a used motocross bike means inheriting its maintenance history. Before the first ride, look at the front disc for wear and warping, check whether the caliper piston moves freely and replace the fluid, which is often old on second-hand bikes.
After each track day, wash the bike and let the caliper dry. A few minutes spent checking pad depth and cleaning around the piston keep the front brake reliable through the season.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA51 for the front brake of the Kawasaki KX250F from 2004 to 2022; its catalogue also mentions the later bikes sold simply as KX 250. The rear pad for this bike is AGPP106, and the DK060 disc is also listed. The box holds one caliper set; compare old and new pads before fitting.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German test mark for AGPA51OR. The pads are sold for competition use.
