DescriptionThe whole story▼
Ducati's Streetfighter V2 890 is a naked bike built around a new V-twin, and like most sporty machines of its kind it depends on two front discs for the bulk of its stopping. Accossato lists two different floating discs for it. This one, the DKS053, is the version for which the supplier gives the fullest set of figures: 320 mm across, 5.5 mm thick, and a bolt pattern of five 8.5 mm holes on a 90 mm circle. It has a black carrier and, in Accossato's words, can replace the original disc directly.
Key Features
- Floating front disc for the Ducati Streetfighter V2 890, 2025–2026
- 320 mm outer diameter, 72 mm inner diameter, 5.5 mm thickness
- Five fixing holes of 8.5 mm on a 90 mm bolt circle
- Black carrier; friction ring attached with rivets
- Interchangeable with the original disc according to Accossato
- Minimum thickness printed on each disc
- Sold individually; the front wheel takes two
- No German ABE documented; for track and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Two parts, a friction ring and a black carrier, make up the DKS053, and rivets hold them together. The carrier is the stable part that bolts to the wheel, while the ring can float by a fraction, which lets it expand evenly with heat and align itself between the pads. Accossato ties its disc design to what it has learned in Superbike, Moto2 and Moto3, and emphasises the careful choice of raw materials and the study of play between ring and carrier. At 5.5 mm, this ring is the thicker of the two options Accossato lists for the bike.
Checking the Bolt Pattern
Since Accossato publishes the bolt circle and hole size for the DKS053, you can compare it with your wheel in some detail. Start by counting the bolts that hold the original disc to the hub; this disc has five fixing holes, each 8.5 mm across, on a 90 mm circle. With a disc off the wheel, the circle can be measured through the centres of its holes, or simply checked by laying the old and the new disc on top of each other on the bench: every hole should line up, and the centre bores should sit concentric.
Thickness is the other half of the check. Accossato offers this disc at 5.5 mm and the DK053 as a thinner alternative for the same Streetfighter V2 890, so measure a disc from your bike on its friction band with a micrometer before you decide. Pick the option whose figures agree with yours. If your readings match neither, get in touch with us before fitting, because pad position, piston travel and caliper clearance all depend on the disc being the right one.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Streetfighter V2 890 of 2025 and 2026, Accossato lists this DKS053 and, as an alternative, the DK053. Each disc is sold on its own and the bike carries two on its front wheel, so a full change means ordering two of the same type rather than mixing them. When fitting, keep fingerprints and grease off the friction surfaces, and tighten the bolts on the Streetfighter V2 gradually and crosswise to the torque in Ducati's manual.
Road Approval
No German ABE is documented for the DKS053, and there is no type approval on file. It is offered for use on closed circuits and in competition.
