DescriptionThe whole story

There is a moment on every naked bike where the rider asks for more brake than the chassis wants to give. On this machine the reference is the N005, 70.0 mm of friction face in the Nissin caliper. What the N005 carries is EX Race: a ceramic sinter tuned for proportionality over attack.

Key Features

  • Even pressure distribution across the 70.0 by 49.3 mm face from new to the wear limit
  • Ceramic-sintered EX Race compound: on the STREET TRIPLE 675 RX the braking force rises in proportion to lever pressure instead of snapping in
  • The N005 shape also serves 19 further machines in the ZCOO 2026 catalogue, so availability stays good
  • Two pads per pack, matched as a set for one Nissin caliper
  • Resists glazing under sustained pressure, which is what ends most organic pads on an STREET TRIPLE 675 RX
  • Shipped in ZCOO's own packaging with the ZRM-N005C code printed on it, so a repeat order needs no guesswork

Construction and Material Quality

Two things define how a N005 behaves: the ceramic mixture and the plate under it. On the N005 the ceramic material is sintered onto a laser-cut metal plate rather than pressed against it. On the STREET TRIPLE 675 RX that translates into a lever position which does not creep as the pad thins.

Performance and Feel

The useful measure of an STREET TRIPLE 675 RX pad is not one hard stop but a hundred ordinary ones. The harder EXC Endurance mixture bit sooner and lasted longer, but asked considerably more of a STREET TRIPLE 675 RX disc than the N005 in EX Race does. With no fairing to lean into, the STREET TRIPLE 675 RX rider needs the N005 to be predictable above all.

Fitment and Compatibility

ZCOO catalogues the N005 for the STREET TRIPLE 675 RX of 2015 to 2016. The same N005 shape covers 19 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Front axle only. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 70.0 mm length and 49.3 mm height.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
