DescriptionThe whole story

Long-distance riding turns brake consistency into a comfort feature. ZCOO cuts the T004 at 71.5 by 50.0 mm to fill the Tokico caliper window of the NINJA 1100 SX. The T004 carries EX Race, the control-oriented of ZCOO's two ceramic mixtures.

Key Features

  • Machined, not moulded: the T004 plate is cut to the Tokico outline rather than pressed to an approximate one
  • Predictable in the wet, because the compound does not need temperature to start working on a NINJA 1100 SX
  • 71.5 by 50.0 mm friction face at 8.5 mm total thickness, cut for the Tokico caliper of the Kawasaki NINJA 1100 SX
  • ZCOO specifies this reference for the Kawasaki NINJA 1100 SX directly, not by cross-reference from a similar machine
  • Resists glazing under sustained pressure, which is what ends most organic pads on an NINJA 1100 SX
  • No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this compound - treat the T004 as a track and competition part

Construction and Material Quality

Construction on the T004 follows ZCOO's racing practice throughout. At 8.5 mm the T004 carries its ceramic layer on a plate cut to fill the Tokico caliper window exactly. Everything about the T004 plate is there to stop the friction face going out of true.

Performance and Feel

EX Race does not try to be the most aggressive compound in the Tokico caliper. It works from cold without a warm-up lap and does not turn grabby once the T004 is hot. Which is why the T004 suits the NINJA 1100 SX better than a pure sprint compound would.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the Kawasaki NINJA 1100 SX, 2025 to 2026, on the Tokico fitment. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 71.5 mm length and 50.0 mm height. The same T004 shape covers 18 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. The reference is a front pad; ZCOO lists no rear equivalent.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
