DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born on the WorldSBK pit lane and refined for Italian tarmac, the OZ Gass RS-A front wheel carries a lineage that few road-legal wheels can match. Forged from high-grade aluminium in Italy and finished in a choice of four striking anodised colours, this five-spoke wheel transforms the look of the Ducati Panigale 899 while delivering the rotational mass reduction that riders can genuinely feel through every corner.
Key Features
- Forged aluminium construction cuts unsprung and rotating mass for sharper turn-in, faster acceleration and improved braking response
- Five-spoke architecture strikes the ideal balance between structural rigidity and minimum weight, benefiting both road riding and track days
- Four anodised finish options — gloss black, techno black, techno gold and titanium — allow precise matching to any Panigale 899 livery
- Supplied complete with quality bearings, aluminium angle valves and spacers where required, so fitment is straightforward out of the box
- Made in Italy to OZ Racing's exacting production standards, ensuring the dimensional accuracy and reliability that WorldSBK demands
Design, Finish and Heritage
OZ Racing has been supplying wheels to championship-winning teams for decades, and the Gass RS-A is the direct road expression of that competition pedigree. The clean five-spoke geometry is not a styling exercise — it is an engineering decision, each spoke profiled to remove material only where stresses allow, leaving a wheel that looks as purposeful as it performs. The anodised finish is applied to the forged aluminium body, giving a depth and durability that painted wheels cannot replicate; it resists brake-dust corrosion, ultraviolet fade and the daily abrasion of road use without losing its showroom quality.
Gloss black delivers a bold, contrasted look against the Panigale's red bodywork. Techno black offers a subtler, satin-dark appearance. Techno gold references OZ's motorsport heritage and reads beautifully against darker liveries, while titanium provides the understated, premium tone favoured by riders who let the engineering speak for itself.
Performance on Road and Track
Reducing rotating mass at the wheel is one of the most effective modifications available to a motorcycle, because every gram saved there is felt in acceleration, braking and mid-corner direction changes. The Gass RS-A is engineered specifically for street use on the Panigale 899, yet its specification crosses comfortably into track-day territory. The lower gyroscopic inertia of the forged wheel means the 899's chassis can change direction with less rider input, sharpening the inherent agility Ducati designed into the platform.
