Track Performance First

The FTRTR005 was conceived with circuit use in mind. The Ergal 7075-T6 alloy is the same aerospace-grade material found in high-end racing components — exceptionally stiff, corrosion-resistant, and appreciably lighter than standard steel assemblies. On a Daytona inline triple, where chassis feedback and corner-entry feel are everything, rigid rearsets that eliminate flex between foot and frame make a tangible difference.

The ball-bearing lever pivots — up to three per lever — are a detail that separates LighTech from budget alternatives. Under repeated braking and gear-change loads across a full track session, bearing-supported pivots remain consistent where plain bushings develop slack. The result is gear selection and rear brake feel that stay crisp throughout the day.

Road & Track Versatility

Away from the circuit, the multi-position adjustment means the FTRTR005 works equally well for committed road riding. Riders who spend time both on track and on B-roads can dial in a position that suits both environments — further forward and lower for touring comfort, or rearward and raised for an aggressive tuck on track days. The optional UP&DOWN Support (RFTR244) extends that range further still, without requiring any modification to the frame.
