DescriptionThe whole story▼

Fully loaded for a long trip, the Triumph Trophy 1200 SE carries much of its weight over the back wheel, and the rear brake becomes an important partner to the front. Accossato's AGPA76 rear pad in the Sintered (ST) compound is intended for that. Accossato says it holds a high, constant grip level at both low and high temperatures and grips well in the wet. It is listed for the Trophy 1200 SE from 2013 to 2018.

Key Features

  • AGPA76 rear pad by Accossato, Sintered (ST) compound
  • Listed for the Triumph Trophy 1200 SE, 2013-2018
  • Accossato: stable grip hot or cold, good wet grip
  • Designed for touring two-up with full luggage
  • Useful for controlling speed on long descents
  • Box contains two pads for one rear caliper
  • An OR version is available too

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's sintered compound is made to keep its grip stable across the temperature range and to go on working when the disc is wet. On the rear of a loaded tourer, used gently but for long periods on descents, that stability is what you want. Accossato adds its general claims for all pads: long life, controlled temperatures that reduce fade and strong stopping power.

Long Descents With Full Cases

Many experienced touring riders use the rear brake to trim speed on long, winding descents, keeping the front for the harder stops. On a Trophy 1200 SE loaded with cases and a passenger, that means the rear pad works for a long time and gets warm. The ST compound is designed to keep the same feel through that heat and in the rain that often comes with mountain weather. That makes the pedal response predictable even at the end of a long pass. If your Trophy mostly handles solo trips in dry weather, the OR version is gentler on the disc.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato names AGPA76 for the rear of the Trophy 1200 SE, 2013 to 2018, with AGPA21 listed for the front and DK132 as the disc for this bike. One box covers the single rear caliper. Before a long trip, check the rear disc and fluid, clean the piston before retracting it, keep chain lube away from the disc and pump the pedal to pressure after fitting.

Road Approval

We cannot provide ABE or Prüfzeichen documents for AGPA76ST, so it is offered for racing and competition.
