DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Accossato PRS 14x15-16-17 is the smallest-piston clutch master cylinder in the adjustable PRS range, built for riders whose clutch pull should feel as light as possible without losing control over where the engagement point sits. The 14 mm piston keeps lever effort low even on bikes with a heavier clutch spring, while the three-position pivot, adjustable between 15, 16 and 17 mm, lets that effort be fine-tuned to hand strength or personal preference. CNC machined from aluminium and fully assembled in Italy, it is fitted with a long folding lever carrying a relieving eyelet.

Key Features

  • 14 mm piston diameter, the smallest in the PRS clutch range, for a light lever pull
  • Adjustable lever pivot distance: 15, 16 or 17 mm to suit the situation of use
  • Folding lever, long version, with relieving eyelet (RST)
  • CNC-machined aluminium body with natural anodising
  • Offset riser that reduces pump flex during gear changes
  • Passive lever stroke cut by more than 50 percent compared with a standard radial master cylinder
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a galvanised steel bleed valve
  • Seals made from Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

Billet aluminium, cut on CNC machinery at Accossato's Italian workshop and given a natural anodised coat, forms the body of this clutch master cylinder. Look closer at the hardware and the same attention shows: stainless fasteners hold the unit together, a galvanised steel nipple handles bleeding, and the piston seals rely on Formula 1 compound to keep working after thousands of heat cycles and ongoing exposure to clutch fluid. The mounting point itself is offset, a detail that stops the pump flexing when the gearbox is being worked hard, and every passage inside is sized to keep the gap between pulling the lever and the clutch actually letting go as small as the layout allows.

Why the Smallest Piston in the Range Suits Lighter Pulls

Within Accossato's PRS clutch line-up, piston diameter is the main lever controlling how much hand force is needed to work the clutch: a smaller piston moves less fluid for a given lever movement, which translates into a lighter pull at the bar. At 14 mm this is the lightest-pulling piston size in the PRS clutch range, making it the natural choice for riders who find a standard clutch heavy in traffic, for smaller-handed riders, or simply for anyone who prefers to save hand strength over a long day's riding without changing the clutch spring itself. The three-position pivot adds a second layer of adjustment on top of that: 15 mm sharpens the lever further for the lightest possible feel, 17 mm asks for slightly more force in exchange for a more defined engagement point, and 16 mm sits between the two, all without removing the lever to change a part.

Fitment and Compatibility

No vehicle-specific listing is attached to this clutch master cylinder, and our fitment records show no matched motorcycles for it; Accossato supplies it as a universal 14 mm radial unit sized for a handlebar with a 22 mm clamp. Before fitting it, make sure that clamp diameter matches your bars, confirm that the clutch hydraulics on your bike are designed around a 14 mm bore, and double check that this piston size is a sensible pairing for the clutch assembly already installed.

Road Approval

This clutch master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato PRS 14x15-16-17 radial clutch master cylinder fitted with a long folding lever and relieving eyelet (RST), finished in natural anodised aluminium. Stainless steel mounting screws, the galvanised steel bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
