DescriptionThe whole story▼
In an Italian city, a big naked bike like the Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 often ends up in a row of scooters and motorcycles, squeezed into a gap with its bars a few centimetres from the next machine. Getting in and out of such a space is where levers get pushed and knocked. The LV012 from Accossato is a folding brake lever for the Corsaro 1200 of 2007 to 2017. It fits the original brake master cylinder, it has an adjustable reach, and its blade is hinged to a black base, so it can give way when something presses hard against it.

Construction and Material Quality
Seven blade colours and two blade versions give fourteen ways to order the LV012. Whichever you pick, the construction is the same: a base and a blade, each CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised, joined by a hinge. The base is always black and carries the pivot and the adjuster for the reach. The blade takes the colour and, in the RST version, a lightening cut-out; the NRST version is solid. On a Corsaro 1200, the blade colour can pick up a detail of the bike or set a contrast.
Tight Rows of Parked Bikes
Rolling a Corsaro 1200 backwards out of a tight row is awkward work. The bike needs both hands, the bars have to be turned to thread the front wheel between neighbours, and the right-hand lever passes within a finger's width of mirrors, top boxes and other levers. A small misjudgement presses the brake lever against something solid. With a lever that cannot give, the force goes into the blade and its pivot; the hinge on the LV012 offers another way out and can let the blade swing aside. Nobody should count on it, but it improves the odds of leaving without a bent lever. The same hinge can help if the Corsaro is knocked over by someone else parking, which in crowded rows happens more often than owners would like.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato, based today in Villastellone near Turin, lists the LV012 for the Corsaro 1200 from 2007 to 2017, including the Carbon and Veloce versions. For the same bike it also offers the RA001, a folding brake lever with a 90-degree remote adjuster, as an alternative on the brake side. On the clutch side there are two folding levers, the LV008 (2005 to 2018) and the LV014 (2007 to 2017).
Road Approval
We have no German ABE on record for this brake lever. It is therefore a part for closed circuits.
