DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato built this three-hose set for the Yamaha FZ8 in both its faired and unfaired forms, covering the 2010 to 2015 production run, with every line running independently from the master cylinder to the caliper it serves. The FZ8 is a physically large middleweight, and the factory rubber hoses, while adequate for ordinary road riding, give up some precision under the harder braking a rider doing a a fast road ride or a fast mountain road will ask of the bike. Three braided lines, each making its own run to a caliper, sharpen that response without adding anything to the circuit.
Key Features
- Three-hose set built to the Full-length (F) layout
- Covers both the FZ8 S naked and FZ8 N faired versions
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Stainless steel fittings, the only finish offered for this part
- Each hose finished and packaged as part of this one kit
Construction and Material Quality
All three hoses combine a stainless braid sheath with fittings made from stainless steel; this part is offered only in bare steel, so the finish stays uniform across the set regardless of which of the twenty braid colours is chosen. That keeps the look consistent whether the kit ends up on the half-faired FZ8 N or the unfaired FZ8 S, since both share the same brake hardware this kit is built around.
Full-Length Routing on a Shared Platform
Because the FZ8 S and N share their front and rear brake hardware, Accossato covers both with this single Full-length kit rather than splitting it by bodywork variant. Each of the three hoses runs on its own from the master cylinder to the caliper it feeds, without one line continuing on to a second caliper, which is what distinguishes this from the Standard-layout kit. That routing suits a rider who wants the most direct line possible rather than keeping the factory's own hose paths.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits the Yamaha FZ8 S and N built between 2010 and 2015. Accossato also lists a seven-hose Standard-layout kit, part AGA0012, for the ABS-equipped version sold from 2011; that version's ABS system needs the extra lines, so it should be chosen instead of this one on an ABS bike.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 3 braided hoses for the Full-Length layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
