Measure the old part against them before ordering. A separating piston or bladder keeps nitrogen and oil apart; if it fails the damping goes with it. The separating piston or bladder inside keeps gas and oil apart; if it fails, the damping goes with it. Öhlins pressure-tests hoses because they carry the full gas charge.

Why the Original

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 21508-12. The thread is M8x1. The reservoir takes the oil the shaft displaces as it enters the damper. Öhlins pressure-tests its hoses because a reservoir line carries the full gas charge.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21508-12

Category: Hoses

Thread: M8x1

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21508-12_30f56144-cf57-48c9-98a5-5a6163982d51.png?v=1788879580
