Cylinder tube 36/240 Al, Öhlins part number 03300-06. Twin-tube dampers use two concentric tubes, and both are listed separately.
Key Features
- Öhlins part number 03300-06
- Original Öhlins service part
- Diameter 36 mm
- Length 240 mm
Where It Sits
At 36 mm, 240 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. Aluminium tubes are hard-anodised in the bore so the piston band has a hard surface to run against. Twin-tube dampers carry two concentric tubes and list them separately. The tube also carries the end cap threads, so thread damage means a new tube.
Original Öhlins Part
Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.
Getting the Number Right
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 03300-06. The published dimensions are diameter 36 mm, length 240 mm — measure the old part against them if you are unsure. Öhlins turns and hones each tube to a defined roundness, because an out-of-round bore leaks past the piston. Bore finish decides how well the piston band seals; a scored tube leaks damping past the piston.
Fitting and Setup Service
Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.
