A NINJA 500 shows everything, including the plastic reservoir the factory fitted. The LighTech OBT007 is a 16 cm³ reservoir with a billet aluminium outer shell and a translucent plastic liner. The shell comes in 8 anodised colours. The 451 cc NINJA 500 takes it with the standard fittings.

Looks and Maintenance at Once
A fluid reservoir does two things, and the factory part does only one of them. The OBT007 comes with a rubber gasket under the cap, which is what keeps fluid where it belongs. On the NINJA 500 the reservoir replaces the original box and nothing else has to move.
Looking After It
Change the fluid at the interval the NINJA 500 manual gives, not when it looks bad. Beyond that the OBT007 asks nothing of you.
Compatibility
This listing covers the Kawasaki NINJA 500, 2024 to 2026. This is not a model-specific casting — LighTech makes one reservoir and lets the mounting decide the fit.
Sold Separately
One thing to order alongside: the bracket. Mounting hardware is a separate line: OBT008 forward, OBT009 rearward, OBT003 as the general support. Order the OBT007 together with a bracket and the NINJA 500 installation is complete.
Mounting It
Installation on the NINJA 500 needs no special service tool. Brake fluid strips paint — cover the NINJA 500 tank and fairing before you open anything. The original part goes back on the NINJA 500 any time.
What Is in the Box
The OBT007 arrives as the tank, the cap and the gasket. LighTech keeps it as a stock item.
Regulations and the Hydraulic Circuit
A fluid reservoir is part of the braking system, and German law treats it that way. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT007 and we do not present it as approved. Have a workshop bleed and pressure-test the NINJA 500 circuit once the part is on, whatever your inspector says.
