DescriptionThe whole story▼

The air intake runs from the opening in the nose back to the airbox. It is the first part of the induction system and the one piece of bodywork on this motorcycle whose internal shape has a direct effect on how the engine breathes.

Key Features

  • Air intake duct, direct replacement for the original
  • 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt, raw or twill satin
  • Autoclave-cured laminate with the duct cross-section at original dimensions
  • Original mounting points and fasteners, airbox and filter untouched
  • Fits the whole 2023-2026 model run

Ram Air Is a Real Effect

At the speeds this motorcycle reaches, the pressure in the airbox rises measurably above ambient, and the duct is what delivers it. A replacement of the same internal geometry maintains that; a narrowed or roughened one reduces it.

What a carbon duct does not do is increase it. Anyone offering extra horsepower from a replacement intake of unchanged section is selling something that physics does not support.

Fitment and Compatibility

BMW M1000RR, model years 2023 through 2026, on the original intake fixings. It does not fit the S1000RR. Check clearance if an aftermarket air filter or a modified airbox lid is already fitted.

Road Approval

Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Induction components can be relevant to emissions and noise approval in some markets, so confirm the position for your own registration before road use.

Sealing Matters More Than Surface

An intake duct only works if it seals against the airbox at one end and the nose opening at the other. A leak lets warm engine-bay air into the system and undoes the effect the duct exists to produce.

Fit the original seals and check them. This is one of the few parts in the catalogue where a careless installation measurably costs performance rather than only looking untidy, and where raw is the right finish for the same reason: nobody sees it, so spend the money on getting it in properly.
