The Panigale V4 R is the version Ducati builds as the basis for its World Superbike machines, with a smaller-capacity V4 that fits the class rules, and it is the bike on which Álvaro Bautista won the title in 2022 and 2023. Many of its owners time every session and study the numbers afterwards, and for them the refuelling routine is part of the plan. Accossato lists the FC105 for the Panigale V4 R of 2019 and 2020 and of 2023 and 2024, a quick-release fuel tank cap cut entirely from aluminium on CNC machines, with its pawl in a choice of six pin colours.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato makes the FC105 wholly of CNC-machined aluminium and describes it as robust and durable, in a design that is new. What matters between sessions is the quick-closing pawl: open, fill, close, and the Panigale V4 R is ready again. Its pin comes in six colours, chosen with the order. If the pawl is ever damaged, it is available on its own, so a spare can travel in the toolbox until the day it is needed.
Fuel on the Way In, Not on the Way Out
There are two moments when a rider can refuel during a track day: straight after a session, or just before the next one. Riders who push hard tend to settle on the first. Just before a session, time is short, the warmers are coming off, the helmet is half on and the mind is already out on the track, which is when caps get left half-closed. Straight after coming in, there is time. Park the Panigale V4 R on its stands, switch off and let it stand for a few minutes while you take off your helmet and gloves. Then refuel through a funnel, close the pawl, check the cap by hand and put the warmers back on. Take care not to spill anything, because the engine and exhaust are still very hot at this point. Only after that do you sit down with the lap timer and the data. When the next session is called, the bike is ready and the only job left is to ride it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's application list gives the FC105 for the Panigale V4 R in two blocks, 2019 to 2020 and 2023 to 2024; it has no entry for 2021 and 2022, so owners of bikes from those years should check with us before ordering. With us the same cap is also listed for the Panigale V4, the Superleggera V4 and the 1199 Panigale R. Fit it with the engine cold, make sure the seal sits evenly on the filler neck, and check the rim after the first fill.
Road Approval
For the FC105 there is no German ABE and no documented expert report, so it is sold for the track. The V4 R's own cap normally opens with the ignition key; for public roads it belongs on the tank, and replacing it with this one there is not straightforward.
