XL is the longest strap Sidi makes for its MX03 closure. Catalogued as position no. 468, it is meant for the widest point of the boot, where the shaft has to close around the most volume, for instance over thicker knee braces or larger calves on the boots that use it. It is also the strap that sticks out furthest and so tends to catch on things first.

The Extra Reach
A longer strap gives the buckle more to work with at the widest closure, so it can still be locked once the boot is wrapped around a bigger leg. Using an XL strap where a short one belongs, on the other hand, leaves a long free end that can snag. Follow the layout Sidi shows for your boot.
Colour and Fit
As with the other MX03 parts, Sidi lists Black and White. There is no size option, because the length itself is what distinguishes the XL from the long and short straps.
What You Should Know
Sidi does not name the boots that use MX03 in the part description, so confirm it on the spare-parts chart of your model. The XL strap is designed for the MX03 buckle only. Sidi recommends fitting it as shown in its chart or leaving the job to a Sidi dealer.
