DescriptionThe whole story▼

The half-faired Yamaha XSR900 GP of 2024 to 2026 offers a little more wind protection than the naked XSR900, which makes longer trips in cool weather more comfortable. For riders who take advantage of that and keep riding through wet spring days and chilly autumn mornings, Accossato offers its front pad AGPA97 in Sintered form, SKU AGPA97ST. It is designed for a consistent lever in all conditions, including when a passenger or a small bag adds weight.

Key Features

  • Sintered (ST) front pad, SKU AGPA97ST
  • Yamaha XSR900 GP, 2024 to 2026
  • Accossato: high grip that stays constant hot or cold
  • Accossato: reliable bite on a wet disc
  • For cool, damp and changeable days
  • One set of two pads per caliper
  • Rear pad AGPP88, discs DK077 and DKS073 listed

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, the Sintered compound maintains a high, steady level of grip at both high and low temperatures and grips well in wet conditions. On an XSR900 GP ridden across the seasons, that means the lever should behave the same whether the brake is cold after a café stop or warm after a long descent. Accossato also points to low wear and reduced fade; we leave it at that.

Riding Beyond the Summer Season

Once the temperature drops and the roads turn damp, many riders park their bikes. Those who keep going on their XSR900 GP need a front pad that works on a cold disc and does not change character in spray. A Sintered pad is chosen for that job: morning commutes in October, a rainy transfer on the way home from a trip, a mountain road where the shaded side is still wet at noon. Riders who keep their bike for sunny town rides may find the OR compound gentler on the discs.

Fitment and Compatibility

This AGPA97 pad is listed by Accossato for the front of the Yamaha XSR900 GP from 2024 to 2026. With a caliper on each of its two front discs, the XSR900 GP needs two boxes. At the back, Accossato's AGPP88 covers the same years, and the brake discs DK077 and DKS073 are also listed for the XSR900 GP. Clean the pistons before retracting them, check the brake fluid for age and level, and pump the lever until it is firm before riding.

Road Approval

We have no ABE or approval certificate for this compound. It is offered for racing and competition use.
