Three machines, one element — and three very different patterns of use behind them. A filter has no way of knowing which of them it is sitting in. It ages by the quantity of air that has been drawn through it and by what that air was carrying, not by the reading on the odometer and certainly not by the date printed in a service book.

Key Features

Woven polyester, single layer, dry from new and dry again after every wash

80 microns at a rated 5,050 l/m²/sec, the standard road and track specification

Measured retention of 93.13 % of 100-micron particles against 76.42 % for oiled cotton

About twice the filtering cloth of other performance elements in the standard panel

Takes the place of the paper element in the series airbox — no cutting, no remap

Regenerated with compressed air for the life of the machine; two years of warranty

Why a fixed interval is the wrong clock

Two identical machines can arrive at the same restriction thousands of kilometres apart, because the air drawn through the panel scales with how the engine was worked rather than with distance covered. Long days at sustained load push far more air per hour than short outings do, and a dry summer on unsealed roads loads an element faster than a wet winter on tarmac. Any fixed interval therefore has to be set for the worst case or it is wrong most of the time. A washable element removes the dilemma: looking at it costs nothing but the minutes needed to open the lid.

What is offered here, and what is not

Not power. An element inside an unmodified airbox does not make a standard motorcycle noticeably stronger; it returns the restriction it introduced and no more. What it offers is a restriction that can be reset rather than one that only ever climbs, and a service item that stops being a purchase. Where the air is genuinely hostile, the same housing is catalogued with the T12 at 7 microns and 560 l/m²/sec — and the flow that medium gives up is the price of the retention it adds. Finer is a different setting, not a higher grade.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean face outward is the routine, and in ordinary use it is the whole of it. When the element has been through mud, spray or a salted road, lukewarm water with a mild washing-up detergent will lift what air cannot; rinse until it runs clear. Drying is done by moving air and patience — heat of any kind, whether a gun, a radiator or a flame, destroys the material. The PM153S is refitted dry and untreated. The maintenance sheet is in the Downloads tab.

Fitment & Compatibility

Made for the airbox of the Bimota Tesi H2 Tera built from 2020 to 2026. Three machines carry this code — the Tera, the Tesi H2 and the Kawasaki ZX1000 Ninja H2 of 2015 to 2026 — and each is listed with its model years in the Fitment tab. The same housing is also catalogued with the T12 and with the racing F1-85 cloth.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/PM153S_f1f1d637-e6f7-4ffb-8c2f-2455f50e5a93.png?v=1787132985
