Performance on Track
The Panigale 1299 S and R are equipped with sophisticated fully adjustable forks that reward precise setup work. Worn or high-friction slide bushes introduce vague feedback, inconsistent damping and unpredictable handling — precisely the conditions that cost time at the apex. The GBS-018 kit eliminates that variable. The PTFE surface treatment keeps stiction to a minimum across the full range of fork travel, allowing the damping cartridge to work as intended whether you are trail-braking into a fast chicane or absorbing kerbs mid-corner.
Build Quality
K-Tech machines each bush in hardened steel and applies a copper undercoat before the PTFE finish. The copper layer acts as a bonding interface that improves coating adhesion and adds a secondary barrier against moisture ingress — useful when the bike is stored between track days. Dimensional tolerances follow OEM drawings exactly, so the bushes locate correctly without shimming or modification.
Installation Note
Installation requires specialist fork tooling and technical knowledge. K-Tech strongly recommends fitting by an authorised K-Tech Service Centre to ensure correct assembly and protect the fork components.
