DescriptionThe whole story▼
Running a KX250F and a KX450F in the same garage, as plenty of Kawasaki riders do when stepping up in capacity without selling the smaller bike, means the same Accossato axle blocks fit both machines without any adjustment to the part itself. The RCKS1 covers the KX450F built between 2004 and 2017, a pair of rear axle blocks with their own adjusting screw for setting chain tension.
Key Features
- Rear axle blocks for the Kawasaki KX450F, 2004 to 2017
- Accossato code RCKS1, supplied as a pair, left and right
- Each block carries its own adjusting screw for chain tension
- Green, black or silver
- Also listed for the Kawasaki KX450F's own chain guide, the GCK1
- Accossato's RTKS1 covers the same bike without the adjusting screw
- Same pair also listed for the Kawasaki KX250F
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Each RCKS1 block takes the place of the stock part at the swingarm end, built with its own adjusting screw so tension can be set from that one point rather than levered by hand. Green, black or silver cover the available finishes, green being the closest match to the KX450F's own factory look. A block that no longer sits flush, or shows a visible crack, is worth replacing rather than left on the bike.
Stepping Up from the Smaller Bike
A rider moving from the KX250F to the KX450F while keeping the smaller bike for a less experienced rider in the same household ends up with two machines that, for this particular part, take the identical pair of axle blocks, which simplifies keeping a spare on the shelf for either one. The extra weight and power of the 450 are felt everywhere else on the bike, but the chain-tensioning hardware at the back of the swingarm does not need to change between the two. That continuity is a small but genuine convenience for anyone running both sizes at once.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the RCKS1 for the KX450F across 2004 to 2017, and the identical pair also fits the Kawasaki KX250F, a span worth checking against the actual frame year before ordering either bike's set. This KX450F also takes Accossato's own GCK1 chain guide. Riders who prefer the stock method of chain adjustment can fit the RTKS1 instead, in the same position on the swingarm.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the RCKS1, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
