Spark's plainest R6 system: an AISI 304 collector, a titanium Konix silencer on the end of it, and nothing else to explain. 1,462 euro, the same as the Moto GP build.
Key Features
- Racing full system for the Yamaha R6, 2006 to 2026.
- AISI 304 stainless collector with titanium Konix silencer.
- 5.3 kg system weight.
- Conical case, no carbon end cap.
- Racing part, not approved for road use.
Konix, Not Konix Evo
Worth separating, because Spark sells both and the names sit one word apart. The Konix is the older, simpler case — a smooth cone, narrower at the front, opening towards the outlet, without the carbon end cap and without the flat angled flanks the Evo carries.
Ordering the wrong one is easy and returning an exhaust is not, so check the number rather than the word if you are matching something already on the bike.
What a Cone Does
A conical case widens continuously from inlet to outlet instead of running parallel and then stepping. There is no sudden change of section for the gas to work against, which is the reason the shape has stayed in Spark's catalogue long after the angular designs arrived.
What it gives up is the visual drama. Next to a mesh-capped Grid-O or a ribbed Force Evo, a Konix is the case that does not ask to be looked at. Some owners want exactly that: a machine that is obviously modified when you listen to it and not when you walk past it.
A Track-Day Exhaust
Spark's numbered STEP kits were developed against Supersport engines and race regulations — machined joints, published decibel figures, championship provenance. This system is not that, and it is not priced as if it were.
It is the straightforward answer for an R6 that goes to open pit-lane days: lighter, louder, better looking than standard, without paying for a specification the bike will never use.
Racing Means Racing
Spark lists the article as not approved, and in Germany that is unambiguous. There is no type approval to show at a roadside check and none for the inspection. A dB killer does not change the paperwork.
If the R6 is registered and ridden on the road, none of Spark's R6 systems will suit it — the whole range for this motorcycle is racing.
Installation
Full system: the standard collector comes off and Spark's replaces it from the head pipes back. This is the stainless-collector range, so the joints are fabricated rather than machined from solid — the CNC connections belong to Spark's STEP 2 and STEP 3 titanium kits for the same motorcycle.
Fitment & Compatibility
Fits the Yamaha R6 built between 2006 and 2026. For the same money Spark will sell you the Moto GP case instead (GYA8824T); the 400 mm Force build is GYA8853T. Above the three sits Spark's titanium STEP 3 range, with machined joints and published noise figures.
Road Approval
Not approved. See the section above before ordering.
