DescriptionThe whole story▼
When every fraction of a second matters on track, the OZ Cattiva magnesium rear wheel delivers the rotational mass reduction and structural integrity that serious Superbike racing demands. Developed directly by OZ's SBK racing division and validated in competition, the Cattiva is the lightest rear wheel OZ produces — purpose-built for the Ducati Panigale V2 955 and track use only.
Key Features
- Lightest rear wheel in the OZ range: forged magnesium construction slashes rotational mass, sharpening throttle response and acceleration out of every apex.
- Six-spoke Cattiva architecture engineered by OZ's SBK racing department and proven on circuit — not adapted from a road design.
- Forged magnesium delivers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, maintaining rigidity under hard braking and high-speed cornering loads.
- Precision-fit for the Ducati Panigale V2 955 (2020–2024): direct OEM-dimension replacement with no modification required.
- Supplied complete with high-quality bearings, aluminium angled valves, and spacers where required — ready to bolt on at the paddock.
- Track-only specification: uncompromised by road-homologation requirements, so every design decision prioritises lap time.
Racing Pedigree
The Cattiva name carries genuine racing DNA. OZ's SBK racing division developed this six-spoke forged magnesium design specifically for Superbike competition, where reducing unsprung and rotating mass is one of the highest-value performance gains available to a team. Forged magnesium is the material of choice at the sharp end of the paddock: lighter than aluminium, stiffer than cast alloys, and capable of sustaining the shock loads generated under race-pace braking. The result is a wheel that responds faster to throttle inputs, changes direction with less effort, and holds its line with greater fidelity under load.
Construction & Finish
Each Cattiva wheel is forged — not cast — from magnesium alloy, a process that aligns the grain structure of the material for maximum fatigue resistance. The finish is available in gloss black, matte black, or gold, allowing teams and privateers to match livery or personal preference without sacrificing the underlying performance specification. Made in Italy, the Cattiva reflects OZ's decades of motorsport manufacturing expertise.
