DescriptionThe whole story▼

Not every Versys 1000 SE spends its life with panniers attached. Some owners take the cases off on a Sunday, head for a twisty back road and, now and then, book a circuit day to find out what the big crossover can do. Accossato's AGPA109 front pad in the EV1 street/track compound fits the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE of 2019 to 2024 and is intended for exactly that rider: brisk on public roads, curious about the track, not yet a racer.

Key Features

  • AGPA109 front pads for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE, 2019 to 2024
  • EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA109EV1
  • Accossato promises strong grip on the road and at amateur track level
  • A sharper initial bite than a touring set
  • Handles repeated hard stops on a fast back road
  • Sensible first step before a dedicated racing pad
  • Also available on this plate as ST, EV2 and ZXC
  • No German approval documents; intended for competition

Construction and Material Quality

According to Accossato, EV1 was developed to grip very well in spirited road riding and in hobby-level track sessions. It sits between the everyday mixtures and the pure racing ones. The company further says the pad stays cool enough to limit fade, wears slowly and delivers a lot of stopping power. The EV1 layer is pressed onto the usual AGPA109 carrier.

A Crossover on Its First Circuit Day

A large upright bike on a race track is a lovely sight and a real test of the front brake. The rider sits high, the fork dives under load, and every lap has a handful of stops from serious speed. A pad that suits a relaxed tour can start to feel vague after a few laps. EV1 is meant to keep a clear, firm response through a trackday session and still behave on the ride home.

Before the first session, bed the new pads in on a quiet road with a series of moderate stops. At the circuit, check the fluid level in the morning and look at pad depth over lunch, especially if the bike also has to carry you back afterwards.

Fitment and Compatibility

This AGPA109 front set is listed by Accossato for the Kawasaki Versys 1000 SE, 2019 to 2024. For the rear of the same bike the company offers AGPP88, while no disc appears in the catalogue. The Versys 1000 SE has a twin front disc layout with a caliper on each side, so you will need two boxes for both. Compare old and new pads side by side before installing.

Road Approval

No ABE or test certificate for AGPA109EV1 has been supplied to us. We sell it for track and motorsport use.

Scope of Delivery
