DescriptionThe whole story▼
The R1M has carbon bodywork and Öhlins electronic suspension. The JP CO YA033 replaces its combined throttle housing and switch block with milled Ergal.
Key Features
- Yamaha R1M (2020–2024)
- Integrated right-hand switch block
- Machined from a single block of Ergal 7075
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
- Replaces housing and switch together
- Black, blue or titanium anodising
Built in Small Numbers
Carbon fibre bodywork, Öhlins electronic racing suspension, a data logging system and a communication control unit that lets settings be changed from a tablet. Yamaha produces the R1M in limited quantities each year and sells them before they are built.
Where the Specification Stops
Everything on this motorcycle is chosen deliberately except the handlebar assembly, which is the standard R1 part. On a bike with carbon bodywork and a telemetry package, a moulded throttle housing is conspicuously the ordinary component in the cockpit.
Both Parts Together
The switch block sits inside the throttle housing, so renewal covers both. This unit is a single machined body doing that job, plugged into Yamaha's own connector with no change to the wiring and no coding afterwards.
Data and Precision
R1M owners log their sessions and analyse throttle traces. Play in the housing shows up in that data as imprecision the rider did not intend, which is an unusually direct argument for a component machined from solid.
Three Finishes
Black, blue and titanium. Against the R1M's exposed carbon and silver paint, titanium reads as a machined part while black disappears entirely into the cockpit.
Five Model Years
2020 to 2024. Yamaha ended European road sales after that, and what followed was a track-only machine sold under a different designation with its own parts.
Fitted Without a Dealer
The grip and bar-end weight come off, the original assembly follows, and the new body goes on using Yamaha's own connector. Nothing is spliced and nothing has to be coded, which keeps the job inside a race weekend.
Three Anodised Finishes
Black, blue and titanium, converted into the surface rather than applied on top. Against the R1M's bare carbon weave, titanium reads as a machined component while black disappears entirely.
