The JP ACCGP YA043 is the GP Series throttle fitted to the Yamaha R1, cutting rotation to sixty degrees and offering three external preload stages so the rider sets the spring's starting resistance to suit the day, rather than living with the single fixed return the standard grip provides.

Low Bars, Loaded Wrists
The R1's riding position puts a noticeable share of body weight onto the wrists through a low, forward-reaching bar position, more pronounced than on many of its rivals. Every degree of unnecessary throttle rotation adds to that load, which is the specific discomfort a shorter stroke is built to reduce.
Three Stages for Three Kinds of Day
A commuting ride, a fast Sunday loop, and a trackday each ask for a different amount of spring resistance at the grip, and setting that preload externally across three stages means the rider does not have to compromise on just one setting for all three.

Riders who take an R1 to trackdays or club racing tend to approach every component on the bike as something to be optimised rather than left as delivered, and a mechanically adjustable throttle fits naturally into that mindset without needing a tuner's laptop.
Sixty Degrees Measured From the Grip
The rotation reduction to sixty degrees is measured at the grip itself rather than inside the electronics, so the ride-by-wire sensor beneath continues reporting the same calibrated range it always has, just reached over less physical travel.
A Firm Setting for a Long Session
On the firmest of the three preload stages, the spring pushes back noticeably at full extension, which some riders find reduces unintentional creep of the throttle hand during a long, hard session where fatigue would otherwise let the wrist drift open.
Installed, Then Reset
Fitting follows the same bolt-on process as any GP Series throttle for this chassis, finishing with the standard diagnostic reset of the throttle position before the bike returns to the road or track.
