Fitted to the Tiger 1200, the JP ACCGP TR039 shortens the electronic throttle's rotation to 60 degrees. Triumph's large adventure tourer covers long distances where wrist position matters over hours in the saddle, and less rotation to reach full throttle reduces the movement needed without touching the bike's ride-by-wire mapping.

Hours in the Saddle
The Tiger 1200 is built for distance, with a seating position meant to be comfortable for hours rather than minutes. Over a long day, a throttle that needs less rotation to open fully asks less of the wrist with every input, which adds up across hundreds of kilometres.
What Accumulates Over a Day
No single throttle input on a long tour feels demanding, but the cumulative rotation across a full day of riding is where fatigue builds quietly. Reducing how far the throttle has to turn for the same result lowers that cumulative load without changing how the bike is ridden.
A Familiar Resistance
Ride-by-wire throttles can feel uniformly light throughout their travel in a way that some riders find vague, particularly compared with the resistance of an older cable-operated grip. The progressive spring behind this shorter throw is built to recreate some of that building resistance as the throttle opens.
A Triple Built for Distance and Dirt
The Tiger's triple engine delivers torque across a wide range, useful both on motorway stretches and the gravel tracks the bike is equally capable of handling. A throttle that responds quickly suits both settings without needing to be adjusted between them.
Returning to Standard, If Needed
The factory throttle body is left unmodified during the swap, so it remains available for refitting if an owner wants to return the bike to its original configuration, whether for a sale or simply a change of mind. Nothing about the installation makes that return any more complicated than the original fitting itself.
The Last Step
A throttle position relearn through the bike's diagnostic port finishes the installation, resetting the ECU's reference to the new unit. Most workshops equipped for Triumph diagnostics handle this quickly as a routine last step. It does not involve any further adjustment to the fuelling underneath that reading.
