Torque at Five Thousand
3.5 Nm more at 5,360 rpm. On a Hayabusa that is exactly the point: this is a motorcycle built around enormous mid-range, ridden in top gear at real-world speeds, and a gain low in the range is worth more than another horsepower near the limiter.
The peak still rises, from 179.5 PS to 182.9. Both numbers are Akrapovic's.
Ten Kilograms Off the Back
Suzuki's twin silencers sit high on both sides behind the rider, which is the worst position on a motorcycle for mass. Taking 9.8 kg out of there does more for how a 266 kg Hayabusa changes direction than the figure alone suggests.
It is also, in absolute terms, among the largest weight reductions in this catalogue — and it comes from a slip-on rather than a complete system.

A 266 Kilogram Motorcycle
The Hayabusa is among the heaviest sportsbikes ever built, and Suzuki put a large share of that weight into the exhaust. Nearly ten kilograms from one system is a proportion of the whole machine that few other changes come near.
Carbon Over Ten Years
A carbon sleeve on a motorcycle this heavy is not about the material's weight so much as its resistance: carbon does not corrode, and a Hayabusa kept for a decade will show that where steel would not.

Suzuki built the second-generation Hayabusa from 2008 to 2017 with no change to the silencer mounting. One part number covers the whole run, which on a machine this commonly bought used is genuinely useful.
Road Approval
Akrapovic records an EC type approval for this exhaust, together with EPA certification for the United States. No separate ECE approval is listed.
