Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – KTM 250 Duke (2024–2026) PM293S

A motorcycle changes countries far more easily than a parts catalogue does. Names get reused, model years are staggered between markets, and a counter working from a local listing can only look up what that listing happens to contain. A filter code steps around all of it. PM293S is PM293S wherever the 250 Duke was first sold, and it is the element specified for the airbox fitted to the 2024-on machine.

What a part number carries that a name cannot

The words 250 Duke have been worn by more than one machine, and bikes built years apart share them. A filter code is tied to a housing instead of a badge, which is why quoting PM293S is a far shorter conversation than describing the motorcycle. Where a bike has been imported, or bought second-hand with paperwork from somewhere else entirely, the build year and the code are the two facts that settle an order. Colour, market variant and model designation all leave room for the wrong panel to turn up.

Living with a bike the local counter does not stock

An imported or less common machine is easy enough to run until a service item has to be ordered, and then every step takes a week longer than it should. A washable element removes that item from the list for good, because at the next interval the same one goes back in. Being blunt about the rest: swapping the element does not make a standard 250 quicker. What it alters is that intake restriction stays close to where it started rather than creeping upward as a paper panel fills.

Care and cleaning

Compressed air from the clean face outward handles it most of the time. For anything the air will not lift, use hand-warm water with a mild detergent and rinse through repeatedly until it runs clean.
