Three Versions of One Switch
JetPrime makes this control as a universal plate and as two dedicated drillings. The universal one carries more material and sits slightly wider; the dedicated versions are tighter packages. Where the geometry is fixed and known, the dedicated part is the better fit.
The R Is the One People Buy
Showa suspension, Brembo M4.32 calipers and a slightly softer state of tune than the RS. On a road it is more compliant and no slower in any way that matters, which is why it outsold its more expensive sibling comfortably.
Six Years Old and Being Improved
The 2017 to 2019 bikes are now at the age where owners start spending on them rather than trading up. Brakes, levers and cockpit components are the usual list, and the brake upgrade is what most often produces the offset clamp geometry this part addresses.
Pre-Euro 5
The fitment stops at 2019. The revision that followed altered the engine internals and the electronics, and the later bikes take a different part despite looking closely related.
What Wears and How
Nothing on the original assembly breaks. The two clipped halves develop play, the buttons across the joint soften, and the rider adapts by pressing harder without noticing they have begun to.
Black, Titanium or Copper
Three finishes, all anodised through the surface rather than coated on top of it, so a slide dulls the component instead of stripping it.
Which Version to Order
Three exist for this motorcycle: a universal plate and two dedicated drillings. Looking at the clamp on the bike settles it in seconds, and it is worth doing rather than ordering on the assumption that the brake is standard.
Sealed Against Winter
Elements sealed inside a one-piece milled body. A Street Triple used through a European winter meets salt as well as water, and the absence of a moulded seam is what keeps both outside.
