DescriptionThe whole story▼
The race left cluster for the XSR900 GP, reduced to the controls a closed course needs and milled from Ergal 7075.
Key Features
- Yamaha XSR900 GP (2024–2026)
- Reduced race control set
- Black or titanium anodising
- CNC-milled Ergal 7075
- Sealed switch elements
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
A Costume With Real Ability
The GP's half fairing, clip-ons and 1980s paint are a genuine reference rather than a sticker package, and underneath sits the current XSR900: CP3 triple, six-axis IMU, cornering ABS. It is quick enough to justify a circuit.
Period Looks, Modern Controls
The contradiction on this motorcycle is that the cockpit has to carry a full modern electronics package inside bodywork designed when a rev counter was the only instrument. A reduced cluster resolves some of that by simply having less on it.
Why a Retro Bike Ends Up on Track
Because it is fast. Riders who bought the GP for its appearance discover the chassis is the MT-09's with a longer swingarm, and the natural next step is a track day. The conversions follow from there.
What the Reduced Set Removes
Indicators and horn, and the positions they occupied. On a housing this small, freeing two positions makes a noticeable difference to how far apart the remaining controls sit.
Standard Loom
No aftermarket harness or dashboard. Yamaha's own connector is used and the factory electronics continue to work, so the conversion is reversible and the bike stays diagnosable.
Machined Against a Painted Fairing
An anodised aluminium body sits better against the GP's period bodywork than a black moulding does, which is a cosmetic argument and on this particular motorcycle a stronger one than usual.
Two Finishes
Black and titanium, converted into the surface. Against the yellow and white livery both stay out of the way, which on a bike this visually busy is the right decision.
