DescriptionThe whole story▼
On track, every gram and every component counts. The Fullsix carbon chain guard for the Ducati Panigale 899 (2013-2016) is an autoclave-manufactured, 100% carbon replacement that eliminates the weight and mediocrity of the stock plastic cover while giving your swingarm area the precision finish it deserves — whether you are chasing lap times or simply refuse to compromise.
Key Features
- Autoclave-cured 100% carbon fibre construction — no filler fibres, no mixed materials, genuine motorsport-grade layup throughout
- Available in 200 Plain weave (matching Ducati's factory weave pattern) or 245 Twill weave for a distinctly sporting, race-bred appearance
- Three finish options — Glossy, Matt, and Raw — letting you choose between a mirror-like sheen, an understated aggressive look, or a bare carbon base ready for custom lacquer
- Precision plug-and-play fitment: replaces the OEM chain guard on the Panigale 899 with no modifications, no cutting, and no additional brackets required
- Protects the chain and swingarm from mud, road debris, and stone strike damage while contributing to a cleaner, track-ready aesthetic
- UV-resistant and weather-proof — the finish will not yellow, delaminate, or fatigue under sustained high-temperature track conditions
Motorsport Construction
Fullsix produces this chain guard in an autoclave under controlled temperature and pressure, the same process used in Formula 1 and MotoGP bodywork. The result is a void-free, high-fibre-volume laminate that is measurably lighter than the factory part and substantially stiffer — critical when you want every component on the bike to perform, not just look the part.
The 200 Plain weave replicates Ducati's original factory carbon texture, integrating seamlessly with other OEM or Fullsix carbon panels on the bike. The 245 Twill weave introduces a diagonal, woven pattern that is widely associated with racing machinery and delivers a more visually dynamic finish under pit-lane lighting or paddock scrutiny.
Finish Guide
Glossy finish applies a high-gloss clear coat over the raw carbon for maximum depth and a jewel-like appearance. Matt finish uses a satin clear coat for a more subdued, race-functional aesthetic that avoids glare. Raw (untreated) finish leaves the carbon surface uncoated, making it the ideal base for riders who intend to apply a custom clear, tinted lacquer, or matching livery paint.
Fitment and Compatibility
This chain guard is developed and tested specifically for the Ducati Panigale 899, covering all model years from 2013 through 2016. It is a direct OEM replacement requiring no permanent modification to the swingarm or surrounding bodywork. Fitting uses the original mounting points and hardware.
