DescriptionThe whole story

A Moto2 silencer with a certificate behind it. Spark pairs the Grid-O with a silenced stainless box carrying a catalytic converter, and the result is a half system Spark states is in full compliance with Euro 4 regulations — deep on the move, and legal.

Key Features

  • Homologated 3/4 kit for the Triumph Street Triple, 2017 to 2026.
  • 2.7 kg against 6.6 kg standard — 3.9 kg saved.
  • Grid-O silencer: full titanium, designed for the World Superbike and Moto2 teams.
  • Silenced stainless box with catalytic converter.
  • 97 dB at 5,850 rpm with the dB killer, 100 dB without, measured with the GTR8502 manifold.
  • Fits the standard collector with its catalyst, or Spark's GTR8502.

Two Published Numbers

Spark measured this half system together with its GTR8502 racing manifold and published both figures: 97 dB at 5,850 rpm with the dB killer fitted, 100 dB at the same speed without it.

Three decibels is roughly a doubling of sound energy, and it is the whole span between a system that will pass most European circuit checks and one that may not. Having the number for both states — from the manufacturer, at a stated engine speed — is more useful than a marketing adjective, and it lets you decide before you order rather than at the gate.

Where the Compliance Lives

The Grid-O in this kit is not a softened version of the racing silencer. Spark states it is the same full titanium case designed for the World Superbike and Moto2 teams, and it keeps its racing identity here.

What makes the kit homologated is the silenced box in front of it, with a catalytic converter inside. That is the same architecture Spark uses on the newer Euro5+ full systems: put the regulation upstream and leave the silencer alone. It is why a homologated Spark exhaust sounds like a Spark exhaust rather than like a restrictor.

Check Your Bike's Class

Spark states full compliance with Euro 4 regulations for this kit. Whether that makes your motorcycle road legal depends on the class the motorcycle itself was registered under, and the rules differ between countries.

For a Euro 4 Street Triple this is a homologated exhaust. For a later machine registered to a stricter class, check before fitting — and if in doubt ask us with the registration document to hand, rather than finding out at the inspection.

Fitment & Compatibility

Triumph Street Triple, 2017 through 2026 — the 660 S and the 765 R, RS and S. The same kit with a black box is GTR0507BOM. The racing version with a titanium link pipe is GTR0501T; the link pipe alone, which keeps this silencer, is GTR0501R. On MY24-26 machines the SKIT112 mounting kit is required.

Road Approval

Homologated. Spark states full compliance with Euro 4 regulations, with the catalytic converter in the box.
