DescriptionThe whole story▼

Vega is the most compact of the three Fullsix lever guard designs: a shallow loop that stays close to the lever rather than standing proud of it. On a motorcycle with clip-ons, where the space between the bar end and the fairing is already tight, that compactness is the whole reason the design exists.

Key Features

  • Lever guard in the Vega design, mounting through the bar end
  • 200 Plain in clear coat, matt or satin; 245 Twill in clear coat or matt
  • Autoclave-cured laminate over a shallow loop with a bar-end fixing
  • Uses the standard bar end position, lever and master cylinder unmodified
  • The most compact of the Fullsix lever guard shapes

Clearance Is the Deciding Factor

On a faired superbike a lever guard has to clear the fairing at full lock in both directions, and it has to clear the mirror stalk, the screen edge and anything bar-mounted. A deep loop that fits a naked motorcycle perfectly can foul on a faired one.

Vega is the design to choose when that clearance is tight. Turn the bars to full lock in both directions before the final tightening and check the gap with the fairing at eye level, not by feel.

Fitment and Compatibility

BMW S1000RR, model years 2012 to 2018, at the standard bar end. Fullsix lists this article without specifying a side; ask us before ordering and we will confirm it with the manufacturer rather than guess.

Road Approval

Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Handlebar attachments are assessed individually in several markets. Confirm the position for your own registration before road use and check the technical regulations before competition use.

The One Design Without a Raw Option

Vega is offered in clear coat, matt and satin, but not in raw. On a component whose purpose is to absorb contact that is a limitation worth knowing, because lacquer is the layer that shows a garage knock.

Matt is therefore the practical choice here and the one that will look least damaged after a season. Satin is available in plain weave only and sits between the two. Clear coat belongs on a motorcycle where the cockpit is gloss throughout and the owner accepts the first mark.
