DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many Hypermotard 821 owners change their own tyres, or at least take the wheels out themselves and carry them to a tyre fitter. It saves money and waiting time, but it also means the bike stands on workshop stands with a wheel missing, which is when it is least stable. A nudge while the front wheel is out, or a stand that was not quite square, and the supermoto-style Ducati tips onto its side. For the Hypermotard 821 of 2013 to 2016, Accossato lists the AGS310, a black clutch lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
The AGS310 keeps to the design of the original clutch lever, so the left side of the Hypermotard 821 looks the same after the repair as it did before, and that is the whole point of an original spare parts type. Accossato developed these levers to be good value, and it states that its production process leaves them with more resistance after damage or an accident. The lever is black, as listed; the manufacturer gives no further data.
Stable on the Stands
Wheel work goes smoothly with a routine. Put the Hypermotard 821 on its rear stand first, on level, clean concrete, and check that it sits square and does not rock before you lift the front. Select first gear if you need the rear wheel to stay still while you loosen the axle, and keep a second person nearby for the moment the front wheel comes out. Never lean on the handlebar to reach a spindle or a caliper. If the bike does fall, inspect both sides, because a fall from a stand often lands harder than a tip-over at a standstill. A bent clutch lever should go in the bin rather than back on the bike. Fit the AGS310 with its pivot clean and lightly greased and check that it returns freely. Then, with both wheels back in and the bike on the ground, confirm that the clutch switch responds and test the clutch at a standstill before the first ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS310 for the standard Hypermotard 821 from 2013 to 2016 and for the 821 SP from 2013 to 2015. For the SP there is also a silver clutch lever, the AGS289, so owners of that version should check the colour of their original. The brake lever on Accossato's list for this model is the silver AGD178, named for the SP. In our catalogue the AGS310 is shared with a whole family of Ducatis, including the Hypermotard 939, the Monster 821 and the Scrambler Icon. Accossato's CNC levers EDB012, EDD001 and ESD082 are the tuning alternative for the Hypermotard 821.
Road Approval
The AGS310 has no documented German ABE and no test mark in our records, so we offer it for racing and competition use.
