Machining You Can Still See

Anodising puts colour into the surface of aluminium rather than onto it, which is why the milled geometry survives it. The perforation, the radii and the tool paths all read through the black exactly as they do through the red.

What changes is the register. A red cap is an accent; a black one is a texture. On a Speed Triple whose bodywork already carries strong colour, the black version lets the machining be the detail instead of competing with the paint for attention.

Two Materials, Two Jobs

The end caps are aluminium and the heat shields are carbon, and each is where it belongs. The cap closes the case at the coolest point of the system and is the part designed to be looked at; the shields sit between the silencers and the rider's leg and never touch hot gas.

Spark makes the shields specifically for this motorcycle rather than adapting a universal part. On a naked bike with two silencers and no bodywork over them, a shield that fits the routing exactly is the difference between a finished installation and an improvised one.

Washing It

Spark prints the care instruction in capitals: no aggressive products, no degreasers, no car shampoo. Water only, and rinse.

The anodised layer is hard and thin, and strong alkaline cleaners are precisely what attacks it. A silencer washed with the wrong product does not fail — it goes patchy at the end cap, permanently. That is a five-second habit protecting the part you paid the premium for.

Twin Exit or Single

Triumph gives the Speed Triple 1200 two exits, and Spark answers that in two ways. This slip-on connects to both original fittings and keeps the pair; the Grid-O slip-on GTR0105TOM merges them into one case.

The single is nearly a kilo lighter and considerably less expensive. The twin keeps the symmetry Triumph designed and gives you two milled end caps instead of one. Both are Euro5 approved and neither needs a remap, so the choice is entirely about the motorcycle you want to look at.

Fitment & Compatibility

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and RR, 2021 through 2024. The red anodised version is GTR0104TOMR and the carbon one GTR0104TOMC. The single Grid-O slip-on is GTR0105TOM. For MY2025 onwards, Spark's homologated slip-ons are GTR0108TOM and GTR0108DOM.
