DescriptionThe whole story▼
The smallest bike allowed to wear the letters. The JP CO BM018GS replaces the F750GS throttle housing and right-hand switch block with milled Ergal, GS cut into the flank.
Key Features
- BMW F750GS (2018–2023)
- Machined from a single block of Ergal 7075
- GS lettering milled into the housing
- Integrated right-hand switch block
- Black anodised
- Plug-and-play on the original connector
Entry to a Long Line
The F750GS is where a great many riders begin their relationship with the designation. It is lower, lighter and less intimidating than the boxer, and it carries the same badge, which is not a small part of why people buy it. BMW understands this perfectly and has never pretended otherwise.
A Parallel Twin With a 270 Degree Crank
The 853 cc engine fires at uneven intervals to give it a character closer to a V-twin than to a conventional parallel twin. The result is a pulse through the chassis at low revs that riders either enjoy or notice, and either way it is transmitted to everything bolted to the handlebar.
Milled Letters on an Everyday Bike
Much of the F750GS fleet does commuting duty and lives outdoors. Printed or applied graphics on cockpit components do not survive that treatment for long. Lettering cut into the aluminium during machining does, and it continues to look the same after five winters of road salt and washing.
The Combined Assembly Again
As on every bike in this family, the right-hand switches are part of the throttle housing rather than clamped separately. Replacing one means replacing both. This unit covers the whole job in a single machined body and uses the motorcycle's own connector, so nothing needs to be rewired or coded.
Shared With the 850
The F750GS and F850GS use the same platform and the same right-hand assembly, so parts listed for one very often fit the other. That is useful when searching, because catalogues do not always name both.
Milled, Then Anodised
The lettering is cut into the aluminium during machining and the whole body is anodised afterwards. Letters and housing therefore share one finish and weather at the same rate, which applied badges never do.
